Before you send
A few photographs and we can usually price it
Send whatever you have. If you are going out to take them anyway, these are the five that answer the most questions, and nobody minds if you only manage two or three of them:
Two opposite corners
Each corner shot captures two elevations and the roof line, which between them establish size and general condition.
The roof
From a ladder or an upper window where it is safe to do so. Standing water and patched membrane are what change the figure most.
Inside, end to end
One wide shot down the length. We are reading the floor, the lining and the layout.
The joints between bays
On modular blocks this matters more than anything else. Poor link detailing is where water gets in and stays.
Corners and lifting points
Close up. A building that cannot be lifted safely cannot be moved at all, which changes the job entirely.
Photograph the faults rather than avoiding them. A known defect gets priced once and the deal completes. An unmentioned one gets discovered by our driver on collection day, and then the whole thing reopens with both of us standing in a wet yard.
