We buy, sell, remove and dispose of modular and portable buildings throughout England, Scotland and Wales. Distance changes what a move costs. It does not change whether we are interested.

No response times are quoted anywhere on this site because they would depend on where our vehicles happen to be that week. When we give you a date, it is one we have allocated a vehicle to.
“Portable buildings near me”, and why distance is a cost rather than a barrier
People searching for portable buildings or used cabins near them are usually really asking one question: is this going to cost more because I am not next door to you? The honest answer is that distance changes the transport figure and nothing else. The unit is worth what it is worth wherever it is standing.
Running our own transport rather than subcontracting it means we control the diary. A collection in Cornwall and a collection in Aberdeen are the same operation with different mileage, and both are planned around the same vehicles.
What genuinely improves a long-distance job is combining it with something else. A delivery going south leaves a vehicle free for a collection on the way back, and that back load is where the saving is: the lorry is making the return journey regardless, so a building near that route travels for far less than a trip laid on for it alone. Several buildings coming out of one site justify a full trip on their own. If you have buildings on more than one site, send them together and the route can be built properly.
What does not improve with distance is a bad access description. A gateway measured optimistically costs the same wasted day whether it is thirty miles away or three hundred.

Coverage, asked and answered
Does being further away mean you will not be interested?
No. Distance affects what a move costs, not whether we will do it. A sound building four hours away is still a sound building. What changes is how the transport is planned. Our vehicles are out across the country most weeks, so a building sitting near a run we are already doing can often be collected as a back load on the way back, which is the cheapest way for a single unit to travel and frequently makes a distant collection work better than people expect.
What about the Scottish Highlands and the islands?
Case by case. Mainland Scotland is covered in the normal way, but the further north and west a job sits the more the route, the road restrictions and the return journey have to be looked at individually. Send the details and we will give you a straight yes or no rather than a maybe.
Why is there no list of towns on this page?
Because those lists are written for search engines rather than customers, and they imply a local presence that does not exist. We are based in Manchester and we cover the country. Naming two hundred towns would not change what we can do in any of them, and it would suggest depots we do not have.
Can you collect from several sites in different regions?
Yes, and it often works in your favour. Multiple collections let the transport be planned as a route rather than a series of separate trips, which reduces the cost per building. If you have buildings standing at different sites, send all of them in one enquiry rather than one at a time.
Do you deliver as well as collect, and to the same areas?
Yes. Buildings we sell are delivered on the same vehicles and to the same coverage area, with the building and the haulage quoted as two separate figures so you can see what each is costing you. Siting on your prepared base is normally part of the same visit, provided the access and ground have been established beforehand.
